"In Laari, one of the languages spoken in the Republic of the Congo, Thona Tomissa (his real name) means "someone who leaves a footprint on his way."

Maybe that's why, for as long as he can remember, Thona has wanted to leave his creative footprint in the world, whether through painting, drawing or making music. That's also why he's chosen to be owner, director and creative director of his own company.

About Thona is one of many artists in his family. His roots are in Cameroon and Congo, but he was born and raised in Paris. He spent a year in Cameroon Yaounde when he was four years old, staying with his sister at his grandparents' house there. As a teenager, he spent two years at a boarding school for the arts in the Dordogne, and toured France with their theatre troupe. His mother was a human rights activist working for Unesco and other human rights charities, and Thona himself spent a summer working as a volunteer for ATD Fourth World when he was eighteen. Apart from painting, drawing, and music, Thona loves travelling and cooking."
